St Joseph's Primary School BULAHDELAH

Principal - Joanne Trotter

A very warm welcome to our website. Thanks for visiting!!!

May I commend these pages and our school to you.

St Joseph’s is a small K-6 Catholic systemic school which is part of the Diocese of Maitland Newcastle. It services the town of Bulahdelah and surrounding communities including Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest.

Bulahdelah (in local Aboriginal, Worimi language meaning ‘meeting of waters’) is located in the beautiful Myall/Great Lakes area, about two hours north of Newcastle and only forty minutes from Forster and Hawks Nest.

The school was founded in 1955 by the Sisters of St Joseph who remain part of its proud tradition. It is an integral part of St Brigid’s Parish and is active in the Bulahdelah community.

A recent capital works programme has seen the school largely rebuilt and our students and staff now enjoy the comforts of a modern and well resourced teaching environment surrounded by a pleasant rural outlook.

More importantly our school is a small and intimate family-like place built on a genuine care and compassion for its students and a religious place where everyone can experience a living faith centred on the person and message of Jesus.
We strive for excellence by giving students opportunities to use their gifts and reach their potential through academic, sporting and cultural activities.

I encourage you to contact us if you require any further information. We would love to hear from you.

With best wishes,

Joanne Trotter

School Principal.
